Not only do they have every type of rental item or equipment imaginable, the staff is knowledgeable, resourceful and unbelievably helpful. (Thanks Amy!) So, of course, when we began planning Made in St. Augustine, Andy’s Taylor Rental was one of our first stops.
They are not only fantastic to work with, they are a mainstay in the community. And, not only are they “made in St. Augustine” – they’re born and fully bred here.
Andy’s Taylor Rental has been owned and operated in the St. Augustine area by the Gessells family for more than 37 years. Jim Gessells started the business with his son, Andy, in 1980. Ten years later, Andy took over the family business. In the 90s, Andy’s Taylor Rental continued to grow and pulled in additional family members to provide a broader spectrum of services and keep up with their booming business. Amy Fowdy, Andy’s sister, joined the family business as the event planner in 1997 and Andy’s wife, Georgette, came on board as the office manager in 1998.
