Food that makes you feel good. That’s what Sprout Kitchen is providing St. Augustine’s residents and businesses through its plant-based meal, juice and smoothie delivery program.
The weekly delivery service to home or work makes it easy to maintain a healthy lifestyle while consuming nutrient-dense and delicious meals. Sprout Kitchen’s products are 100% whole-food, plant-based, non-GMO, gluten free as well as organic and locally-sourced when possible.
“My passion has always been to educate people that healthy food can also be delicious and flavorful,” explains Forrest Masters, owner and chef of Sprout Kitchen. “I like to say we should all ‘Eat Pretty!’ Food should be bright, vibrant and beautiful. The wider array of colors you eat, the more nutrients you get.”
Sprout Kitchen offers a la carte items such as farm fresh salads, entrees like raw beet ravioli and sweet and spicy pulled tempeh, superfood energy bites, organic cold-pressed juices, organic whole food smoothies, and superfood shots. Cleanse programs are also available including Plant-Based Lunch, Sprout Cleanse Level 1, and Sprout Cleanse Level 2 as well as nutritional counseling and private or group cooking classes.
A St. Augustine native, Forrest began her culinary career as chef at The Present Moment Café. She then served as head chef at Ann Wigmore Natural Health Institute, a world-renowned wellness retreat in Puerto Rico. She went on to become the General Manager and opening consultant for acclaimed nutritionist and best-selling author Kimberly Snyder’s organic café, Glow Bio, in Los Angeles.
After nearly a decade of working in the health and wellness industry in Los Angeles and Puerto Rico, Forrest returned home when her father became sick. “I was on a different path,” she explains. “I came home to take care of him, and ultimately decided to come back to the community.”
When Forrest’s father passed he left her a warehouse space in the growing West King neighborhood. She decided to convert the space to a commercial-grade kitchen and develop her business concept of delivering nutritious meals, juices and smoothies to customers’ doorsteps.
With a great space, a fantastic concept and more than 13 years of experience Forrest launched a booming business. Through Sprout Kitchen, Forrest is able to share her expertise and culinary skill with St. Augustine, Jacksonville and surrounding areas. She has also proven that food delivery can be easy, healthy and delicious!
